Child Obesity is a disorder that is very common among children in the latest period. A child afflicted from obesity appears bulky and heavy as compared to other children of his age and height. An obese child’s weight is greater in proportion to his height and age. It is a very common condition generally found in US and UK. Actually, an obese child is plump and faces great difficulty to lead a normal life.

There are a number of causes that lead to this problem, it may be genetically transmitted, or might be because of a wrong eating patterns or might be because of lack of correct physical exercises. There are some studies that show that if a child is born to obese parents he might possibly to be obese as well, but anyways this is not a proven truth. There may be another option that a child who often eats too much of junk food and fast food, a lot of much of ice-creams, candies or any other food that is unhealthy might become obese. Lack of appropriate physical activity may be other main problem that might cause child obesity. In fact, children love to watch TV continuously without paying much interest on their daily exercises and often while watching TV for long hours munch on wafers or pop-corns or some other oily and injurious food. ids are more excited to play games on computers, cell phones or video games which includes no physical activity, thus the child sits on one place without moving to enjoy the game and take delight in that but they neglect the fact that they are doing a great harm to their body and health. As the body is not physically lively, the energy stored in body gets converted to fats, which further results in obesity. You should not hold responsible technology or games for this, actually the parents must accept the truth that it is their inability to make their child do a lot of exercises that is good for their health and keeps them well.

Junk food and fast food which have set a craze because of their mouth-watering tastes often tempt the kids to munch on these, these kinds of food are great in fats and very low in nutrients, thus this food does a lot of harm to our body rather than anything good. The organizations promote their junk and fast food stuff through attractive advertisements and thus the kid finds it hard to refrain and gets the habit of eating such type of unhealthy food. But then the parents should be smart enough to watch their eating patterns by making them aware about the bad effects of such type of food and hence control them to eat fast food.

If a child is obese it does not mean that he just appears fat and heavy but there are grave other health troubles accompanied with obesity like:
Problem in mobility: This is a main problem that an obese child finds difficult to move around, to play, to climb, to jump and to do various other physical activities that a normal kid can do without much difficulty. Other serious health troubles are that an obese child might get life threatening diseases like Heart Attack, High Blood Pressure or also Cancer! Child obesity leads to adult obesity and they tolerate a lot of physical constraints all through their lives. Not just do they face physical hardship but they even face mental trauma as the family members or siblings or friends taunt and humiliate the child for looking bulky and fat which may often lead to problems like child depression that further worsens the situation.

Whatever might be the cause for child obesity whether unhealthy eating patterns or genetic factor, ultimately it is the duty of the parents to watch that their child does a good amount of physical exercise and consume a balanced food.
