Lead Management System: Turning Web Visitors into Customers

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Business · Comment

There is no hiding the growth of the internet today. With an increase of the number on consumers that flock on to the web its no wonder why companies are trying to use internet marketing to capture the large audience out on the web. This sector of market is young and growing at a fast rate.

The result of the growth of this sector is there are a lot of technology vendors that are trying new and innovative ways to convert Web visitors into customers. Companies are trying hard to roll them in with fancy web designs, flashy banner ads, pop-ups, pop-unders, calls to action. Yet with these new ways some of the most effective ways to get the most from your Web traffic is by the good old fashion way- Sales discipline, enforced by a lead management system.

Keys To Converting Web-Traffic:

Respond Fast

When you generate an online customer inquiry, whether it is a phone call or a contact form submission, make sure it is immediately distributed and contacted. This means avoiding the dreaded email back-end to most web contact forms.

Simply emailing a Web contact into a central email account or forwarding it to one or more people in you sales organization is a recipe for disaster. Here are the typical results:

* No one does anything. Stats confirm this is the fate of 60-70% of Internet leads.
* The lead is delayed while someone figures out where it “belongs”
* Multiple eager people jump on the same lead and barrage the customer
* Make one attempt or contact, when it is hot, and then never follow-up

Provide Additional Resources

Most consumers are coming to the Web for information. If you simply capture them and assault them with a sales pitch then chances are you are missing their expectations. A major reason why people are so attracted to the internet is they are able to browse in piece.

Make sure that when that lead comes into your lead management system your first contact comes offering additional information. This can be and email with additional information, and attached white paper, or even a call offering to provide your assistance in understanding what you offer.

Add Value

Another critical element of your lead management strategy should be optimizing your response for maximum value. The Internet makes it very easy to segment your traffic and anticipate exactly what the consumer is looking for–do the same when you receive it into the lead management software.

Consumers are highly impressed when you anticipate and respond to their need. The perception that you are adding value to a customer is typically directly related to your sense of urgency in responding and how close that response is to what they are looking for.

To increase the frequency with which people feel you are adding value, segment your inbound leads into products and service categories based on where they submit. This will give sales people ques as to how to respond appropriately–with value.

Extend the Relationship

Building a relationship is probably one of the biggest strengths of managing Internet customers with lead management. A major advantage is once they are in the system you can build systematic ways to stay in contact and follow up.

A sales relationship is built on trust, relevance, and credibility. Managing your Web customers with lead management can make sure that you are satisfying all of these elements in your Web visitors minds and convert them into customers at a higher rate.

The new front of internet marketing is growing fast and converting Web Traffic has become top priority for every company! Start Focusing on your Sales Discipline and increase the conversion of your web visitors with a Lead Management system.

Tips To Consider Before Starting A Home Based Business.

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Business · Comment

by Larry D Johnson
Thousands of people will start a home based business on the Internet today and every single day of the year. Why? Because the Internet is an amazing vehicle to unbelievable financial success.

In my opinion, the Internet is the way to go to fully experience REAL freedom and financial prosperity, but I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that becoming financially successful online is not an easy venture. There is a learning curve involved and to really succeed online you will need to know how to market on the Internet. Look for a Company that teaches you that.

An extremely large amount of people are looking to the Internet to provide an extra income everyday. The numbers are HUGE right now and continue to grow at astronomical rates.

There is no doubt the Internet will be the business marketplace of the future. It will be generating revenues in the Trillions of dollars within a few short years according to current trends, so you are in the right place at the right time!

Even with all the new technology building an Internet business is a piece of cake compared to trying to build a brick and mortar business out in the real world.

If you know how to market on the Internet you can pretty much write your own paycheck AND set everything up to run automatically. You don’t even have to be working to get paid! Yes you can actually make money while you sleep.

That, coupled with the fact that one can start, build, and maintain a million dollar business on the Internet with very little start-up capital (less than $500) makes the choice a no-brainer. With all of the promises of instant wealth and turn-key automated riches, there still remain only two ways that most people make a full time living on the Internet.

1) They start early, waste a TON of money and time, and then through trial and error, they stumble upon a working model that builds them a fortune (A lot of the so called early Internet gurus started this way)…BUT they also had a desire strong enough to keep them going through the pain of mistakes and failures!

The other way people succeed on the Internet…

2) Someone takes a person by the hand and tells them EXACTLY what to do. They meet someone they can trust and decided to follow their lead to success! They find a mentor who is willing to TEACH and EDUCATE them, or they provide a marketing system that people can plug into. This not only simplifies their marketing but automates their marketing efforts as well.

If you find a Company willing to take you by the hand, give you all the training that you need to succeed, and plug you into an automated system that generates income you 24/7, you will be way of the 97% of people who fail with their home based business.

There is a lot of hype going on out there on the Net. Don’t be fooled by all of these $47-$97 ebook success systems. Most all of them are CRAP and that is the truth. A lot of these guys don’t even write these things themselves. They hire some technical freelance writer to do it, pay them a thousand dollars or so and then sell it to you at $97 a piece!

Don’t get caught up in all the mubo jumbo sales letters.

Look, It doesn’t matter if you have been around for awhile and are just about FED UP, or you are just starting and need some guidance. It is your turn now to get the real scoop. The future belongs to you no matter where you have come from!

If you are looking to start a business online consider what I said above as my #2 way that people succeed on the Internet. The other important element for a successful online business is the product or service you want to offer.

My product research goals were simple. The product had to meet a simple set of criteria before I would even begin to look it over. It had to have a huge number of things going for it already…

Here are a few tips to consider when looking for a product to market.

There are a million products to market online. The problem for most of them is that they do not meet the criteria I look for. These are the things I look for in a great product:

1. To lessen the competition, the product must be unique in the market place. The world does NOT need another vitamin.

2. The product cannot be MLM because they take too many product sales to make money MLMs take forever to grow.

3. The product must be worth what you pay it with or without a business opportunity attached.

4. The company must have back end products to encourage “repeat customers” That way you can get paid again and again.

5. The company shoul pay strong up front commissions to help you start earning quickly, as well as generous residual commissions.

6. The company must have stable ownership with a track record of success.

This is just an overview of what it takes to start a successful online business. You still need to do your due diligence and check out things for yourself. With that in mind I wish you lots of luck in your new business venture.

Your Own Personal Assistant with Remote Online Support

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Business · Comment

by Roberto Bell
Living in a primarily electronic age, most professionals cannot afford any downtime due to technical difficulties, which is why getting fast remote support is a great way to effectively and cheaply address many of your computer related issues. Convenience and competitive prices are just two of the top reasons to used remote online support.

Even home users can benefit from having remote online support for their computer systems as to avoid costly damage from long term neglect of issues. Having a trained professional to walk you through a problem through a phone or electronic chat can take away much of the anxiety and confusion of trying to do it yourself with manuals and how-to booklets. Having quick access to remote support professionals can prevent a costly loss of data, clients and your valuable time spent trying to fix whatever is wrong.

When electronics and software are initially bought, usually some sort of warranty or service guarantee comes along with the product, but remote online support is rarely part of the deal. If something goes wrong with your computer or networking system, certain problems and situations are not necessarily covered by warranty plans. This leads to a higher cost of fixing a problem on top of whatever the warranty might have cost in the first place.

This approach is more sensible than going to a large retail store and dropping your computer off to them and hoping to get it back within an unspecified amount of time. You don’t know if the most qualified person will be working on it. You may never even interact with the person who will be handing your computer. With remote online support the customer interacts with the technical support person, has control over how long the support session goes and therefore has much more control over the final price and tone of the help session.

Instead of paying for an extended factory warranty that may cost several hundred dollars or more, going with a remote technical support plan can help you work with the peace of mind that you will always have someone just a phone call or email away that is willing to help you through whatever technical difficulties that you are having. A remote online support person will help you to the full extent of his or her capacity as is clearly stated in the pricing plan, therefore you can buy as little or as much coverage as you want.

An additional benefit of remote technical support is that there are fewer geographical limitations on the solutions to your technical issues. Thanks to to remote technology and on-call professionals, getting prompt online support can be done virtually around the clock. If you have a call and presentation with a client in Japan and it is almost midnight local time, you can count on a remote online support person to get to your problem as fast as possible so you can get back to preparing for your client’s needs.

In case of the rare occurrence that requires drastic action in person, many remote technical support companies can send out an on-call technician that can look at your problem in person and fix whatever is ailing your machine. Knowing that there is an on-site option for sever technical issues is available makes for another great reason to use remote online support.

There are few things more stressful than having a computer or network system fail and not having a quick solution to the problem. Rather than becoming distressed, try remote online support and become empowered with someone else’s technical expertise no matter where you are.

When you need online support fast, visit Fast Support Online and we can help! Our certified engineers will connect to your equipment remotely to fix PC problems instantly. Visit online at http://www.fastsupportonline.com/ for more information.

Starting A New Online Business? Learn To Deal With The Frustration of Getting Scammed

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Business · Comment

by Patrick Cohen
If you’re just starting out in online business, this can happen to you: frustration. It can happen to all of us. “No cash up front!” “Buy your dream home next week!” “Work only 1 hour a day!” Signing up with that so-called “golden” opportunity to make a “fortune” online can definitely lead to frustration.

We’ve all seen these types of hyped up ads. I mean, the Internet is literally drowning in them. With so much publicity and marketing flooding your browser, how can you tell which of the opportunities are legitimate - and which just want to scam you for your credit card numbers?

Basically, there are only 2 ways to find the ripe fruit in an orchard virtually overgrown with rotten apples.

1 - Sign up, pay the price. Do the “work” and realize too late that you just flushed your hard-earned cash down the toilet.

2 - Do your due diligence. Search and research; find views, reviews and opinions of those who have already signed up (DO NOT rely exclusively on the onsite testimonials for this as they are just too easy to fake); do a search for information about the designers of the program, AND about the people who provide the testimonials; read EVERY word on the page promoting the opportunity; follow available links to affiliates and check out their credentials too; read every online article you can find relating to the opportunity; to keep spam out of your main inbox, create a unique email account to receive their newsletter if you sign up for it - just in case you can’t unsubscribe. Lather, rinse and repeat. Then, if the opportunity still appeals to you, sign up, dive in and STICK TO IT.

I think we can agree that option #1 is pretty much a gamble. Option #2 would however probably deliver much more satisfactory results. So why is it that so many of us get lured in by the scams? That’s actually quite an easy question to answer: gratification. Taking the route outlined in option #2 requires a lot of work, a lot of time and a lot of patience. The gamble illustrated in option #1 does have it’s appeal: “Wow, this could be THE solution I’ve been looking for!”.

Any search for solutions that we may undertake (whether for online business opportunities, or for anything else for that matter) is influenced by our desire for gratification - and the sooner, the better. It’s that desire for immediate results that gets us into trouble. Unscrupulous marketers know this and are able to capitalize on it; it’s called impulse buying. How many times have you purchased that cheap gadget or that totally useless little doohickie at the drug store checkout only to have wind up in the trash within a week?

Frustration is the result of unfulfilled desire.

Signing up for an opportunity with no due diligence is simply an attempt to fulfill a desire for immediate gratification: instant cash. There’s the trap: NO legitimate online business opportunity is going to provide you with such immediate income. Legitimate opportunities do require work, research and education. Most of them provide that education based on their years of experience and the research that they have already done for you.

So, how do you deal with the frustration that you may be feeling after having been “suckered”? Simple: you must first understand - and accept - that you were reacting to a very human desire to feel better right now. The key here is then to invest in your feelings before you invest in an online business opportunity.

Invest in my feelings? Huh? Let me explain. Which emotion do you prefer: disappointment or excitement? I think the answer to that is obvious. You can easily generate disappointment and frustration by reacting to your desires. By acting on your desires, you can just as easily generate increasing anticipation and get excited about future fulfillment. Notice the difference? You can choose to react or to act - it’s up to you. Either way, it’s of the utmost importance to accept responsibility for the consequences - including how you feel.

Take your time to investigate the online business opportunities that interest you. Visit websites that provide information on a variety of affiliate programs. Consider the advantages and disadvantages of signing up with programs that provide one income stream versus those that provide multiple streams of income. Due diligence; with both your feelings, and with the online business opportunities you may be considering. This is what can make or break your success online.

Increased Web Site Traffic - Some Dos and Don’ts of Web 2.0

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Business · Comment

by Alun Maxwell
Increased web site traffic always used to mean all the techniques to either win visitors by well-crafted advertising or clever Search Engine Optimisation, not the ‘upstart’ of Web2.0/Social Media.

Not any more. Web 2.0 is the ‘golden fleece’ of increased web site traffic. What makes it such a powerful way of influencing huge numbers of people is that it’s not about ‘pitching’ others. It’s about forming friendships and relationships which may or may not blossom into a business connection.

So what is Web 2.0? It is, to quote Victor Huge, ‘an idea whose time has come’. The web is no longer about webmasters writing content and surfers reading it. It has become interactive, whether it be blogs, ‘vlogs’ (video blogs), or Social Media sites. There never was a Web 1.0, but never mind about that!

A lot of people desperately seeking increased web site traffic use Web 2.0 or ‘Social Media’ sites as a kind of ’soap box’ to blather on about their specific business opportunity, in the honest belief that people will have their ‘guard down’ as it’s a Web 2.0 environment. This policy just doesn’t work.

If you use MySpace, Facebook, or the ‘new kid on the block’ Twitter (growing currently at 40% a month!) to ‘upfront’ pitch your ‘bizopp’, you’ll simply be boring large numbers of people instead of boring one person at a time. That’s technology for you!

A far better route to increased web site traffic is to make your ‘profile’ on the Web 2.0 site appealing and interesting and then just place some links to your business site for people to click on them should they want to. If you have a capture page you can divert them to, where you can collect e-mails, so much the better. You’ll have the details of someone who liked your profile enough to seek you out. Big difference.

Sites like MySpace also allow ‘commenting’ to friends. Again, I see a whole bunch of people ‘pitching’ me and it’s a big yawn to be honest. The comments I like are when people send an encouraging or upbeat statement or quotation that brightens up my day. I may well follow a link then, and if that person achieves increased web site traffic as a result then that’s fine by me.

YouTube has enjoyed phenomenal success. Set up in February 2005, by the end of 2006 Google had bought it for $1.65 billion of stock. (Yes. ‘Billion’!) Why would Google pay this? Traffic, traffic and more traffic. We all know what a part Social Media played in the last US election. Many people now successfully use video clips to create free quality content in return for e-mail capture. A win-win.

Social bookmarking is another ‘buzz’ phrase that many see as a key to increased web site traffic, and it can be. What you need is consistency and patience. But there is a great free tool that can automate this procedure at SocialMarker.com. They even give you a piece of html code that you can paste on to your site and create a button saying ‘Bookmark Now’, thus spreading a ‘link on 49 of the best social bookmarking sites in under 15 minutes!’

If you consistently give value without always demanding a return, then people just seem to want to know more about you. Don’t forget the story of the Sun and North Wind, who had a wager on removing a man’s coat. However strongly the North Wind gusted, the man simply fastened his coat even tighter. The Sun merely shone sweetly. The man got hot. He removed his coat. Be a ‘Sun’ in Web 2.0, and increased web site traffic is the natural consequence.
