Dating and the Confident Woman

It has never been a more confusing time for men and knowing how to date an empowered woman. When the roles reverse and a woman is more confident or as confident as a man, male insecurities are inevitable. Men have work to do; we have to embrace the masculinity that we allowed the modern feminist movement to emasculate out of us. We have to grow a pair. That means stepping up our confidence. A confident woman doesn’t want a submissive man; she is secretly hoping to find a man even more confident than she is!

I was breaking up with a girlfriend a while back and she stabbed me with a harsh criticism. I wasn’t assertive enough for her. I tend to be pretty laid back about things and while I saw her point, I also saw how she emasculated me in her own head. I was new to the city and didn’t know where to go or what to do, so she often chose what we did together. She told me she wanted me to be bolder about choosing where we went. The interesting thing was that I often did that and conveniently those were all the nights she chose to pass and spend the evening on the couch. Those were the nights I wish I had decided to go anyway and leave her sitting on the couch by herself.

When is it okay for a man to be a man? When is a woman too assertive? The final verdict is going to be different for everyone. Men need to embrace the strong confident energy that is masculinity. This includes being sexually forward and assertive. A strong confident woman wants nothing more than to have an assertive man in the bedroom. Men love when an empowered woman enjoys sex and is assertive in the bedroom, but as soon as that assertiveness leaves the bedroom men are often intimidated by it.

Men are much simpler than you realize ladies. We know you pull all the strings, but if you let us think we are in charge more often we both get what we want. We feel more dominant and you get to see us confident and assertive. I know if you tell us to be strong and assertive it defeats the point, however setting up situations where have to be more assertive is key. Let us kill the bug in the house; let us be in charge of the cars and fixing mechanical objects. Even if you know it will be faster just to call someone, let us have our moment. Tell us we are in charge of planning the evening on Friday. Set up situations where we can be assertive instead of jumping in and doing it yourself. Give use the opportunity to be assertive and you will be happier when we are.

Guys, let’s step it up a notch. A cardinal sin is if she asks, “what do you want to do?” and you answer, “I don’t know.” Be a man, have a plan, in fact have back up plans. You need to take the lead. She’ll tell you when the plan sucks or needs to be changed, but if you at least have a plan, then you are being a man! Here is another tip. When she cancels on an idea and wants to just stay home, go do it anyway without her.

Assertiveness and confidence is so incredibly attractive as long as it doesn’t threaten someone else’s sense of self-confidence. You as an empowered woman in a relationship should not come at the price of an emasculated man. Leave room for a man to be confident. Set him up to feel like he is in charge sometimes, we both know who is really in charge. Guys, time to sack up and stand up for what you want to do. Stand your ground when women try to change things about you that you enjoy or things that don’t even affect her. The easiest way to be dominant without crossing her boundaries is to be assertive about what you want, but not tell her what she should want or do.

Being a confident man or woman is not about always being dominant or getting what you want. It is about knowing who you are and not compromising on the important stuff. Most of us understand when it’s important; the little things are what cause so much drama. Compromise by letting others win on the little stuff so you can be assertive on what is important to you. The most confident leaders know when to let others lead and empower them to feel strong and confident. As a confident woman, let men win sometimes, our ego’s are much more fragile. As a man, learn that being confident and dominant is actually what women appreciate more.

Islamo-Fascism - What Is Islamic Fascism?

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Society and Culture · Comment

by C. Read
Islamo-Fascism is on the rise and going unchecked, similar to the Fascist movement of the Nazis that began in the 1930s and led into World War II. Western countries, unwilling to take a lesson from history, allow Islamic Fascism to not only grow, but continue to flourish. Unlike the Nazi movement that occurred before the war, however, those who are part of the Islamo-Fascism movement are not confined to one part of the world. They are all over the world and their voice is getting stronger.

Even after terrorist attacks in western countries, leaders are looking the other way when it comes to Islamic Fascism. This is true in the European Union as well as the United States. The recent election of US President Barack Obama, who was recently photographed bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, indicates that Americans are willing to forgive and forget the terrorist attacks that killed thousands of civilians on September 11, 2001. Any reference to Islamo-Fascism in the United States is seen as being extreme by the media.

Fascism is the ideology that Hitler used to rule Germany. It obliterates human rights, different ideas and calls for total allegiance to the leader. Adolph Hitler, who was elected into power, orchestrated the death of six million people who did not fit in with his ideology and started a war that cost millions of lives. Islamo-Fascism is the intolerance of anyone who is not of the Islamic faith. We see this in many Islamic countries where even practicing another faith can be cause for imprisonment or even death. In Islamic Fascism countries, human rights are virtually non-existent, especially for those of another faith other than Islam, women and dissidents. The human rights abuses that go on in countries like Saudi Arabia, for example, are largely ignored by the western media.

Islamo-Fascism is frightening for many people who are non-Muslim. Attacks against westerners are on the rise and largely left unchecked. Very similar to how Hitler was allowed to run unchecked by the rest of the world until he started trying to take over. Islamic Fascism, however, is scarier to most than the fascism practiced by the Nazis. This is because unlike the Nazis, the Islamo-Fascism movement is spreading to all parts of the world and not just concentrated in one country, and those who practice Islamic-Fascism are actually willing to die for their cause.

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and second only to Christianity when it comes to religion. The Koran makes it clear that non-believers are not to be tolerated and encourages the convert or die ideology. Like the fascism practiced in Nazi Germany, Jews are large target, as is the United States and any other nation that supports the right of Israel to exist. Unlike the fascism practiced in Nazi Germany, however, the threat is not clearly stated and acts to put the ideology into action are not traced back to another country, but to fanatics of Islam.

The world has changed since the 1930s and people have become more tolerant in the west to different beliefs. In fact, they have bent over backward to accommodate them and even welcomed those who believe in Islamic Fascism into their midst. Much like a farmer welcoming a fox into the henhouse.

Many people find Islamic Fascism to be frightening, but others are refusing to believe it exists. To find out more about Islamo-Fascism , go to Craigread Blogspot.

I want one of those fast and furious father’s day gifts

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Society and Culture · Comment

by Edgar Burt
Aren’t dads great? They spend half your life telling you to act your age and then the other half not acting theirs. They’re like big kids, full of interesting facts and strange observations and they know what they like, what they don’t like and what they want to watch on the telly.

A dad is usually someone you’re unable to argue with. You might have tried to argue with him as a teenager but his will is always greater than your own. It’s possibly your mum who is to blame for that. Years of banter have got him well trained as a sarcasm combatant. He knows how to get the last word in and the last laugh. It can make him all the more lovable though!

Father’s Day Gifts

So, if you’re wracking your brain for Father’s Day Gifts that will really come as a surprise, you shouldn’t worry. He’s either got a good idea what you’re getting him already because he knows you so well, or he’ll love it anyway because you know him so well.

Along with being incredibly childish, Dad’s are inherently boyish. That makes most of us turn to those old standards the sports gifts, men’s grooming kits, things related to manly pursuits like hiking and brewing or … in some cases cars.

Cars have been an obsession for men since they were first invented. Motor cars were bought by wealthy gentlemen in the 1900’s when Henry Ford started the first ever production line and blokes just haven’t looked back.

Of course, originally cars could only go at 4 miles an hour and you had to have someone up front waving a flag in case you mowed down any poor souls who couldn’t see your smug smile or hear you over enthusiastically tooting your horn. These days things are quite obviously different and cars can go faster than we’d ever dreamed.

A surprisingly high number of dads go crazy for cars. Does your dad love watching Top Gear? Does he dream of owning makes and styles of car you forget as soon as you’ve heard them? If so, chances are that your dad is car mad.

Car mad dads usually like driving incredibly fast down inappropriate roads - (A roads, country lanes, suburban streets) and they take corners at break neck speeds too, far more frequently than they need to. So, with that in mind why not get your daddy some fast and furious Father’s Day Gifts and leave all his other presents in the dust?

Experience Days

Something that all dads seem to revel in is a sense of adventure. So an adventure or experience day could be just what the mechanic ordered to fuel your father’s fun and excitement. The best thing about car experience days is that there are so many different types. Whatever type of car fan your daddy is, there’s bound to be something that will make him grin from ear to ear.

Outrageous Rides

Father’s day gifts need to be special. Some of the cars you can let him ride are incredible. It’s definitely worth researching experience days. There’s even a monster truck experience, get that? MONSTER TRUCK, those massive off road monster cars that can drive over other cars. Can you imagine him driving one of those? That could be the stuff of dreams or of nightmares!

What about whizzing around a track in a yellow Lamborghini, or Aston Martin like James Bond? I’m sure your dad’s no Daniel Craig but he can pretend to be for the day. Not impressive enough? How about driving a tank? Yes, a tank. There are experience days where your dad could be allowed to drive an armoured carrier and fly a plane in the same day. It’s jaw dropping.

The only limit seems to be your imagination when it comes to gifts for father’s day. Driving days are great coupled with trips to see a real race or other cool car gifts. They can provide your car mad dad with a memory to cherish forever and ever. It’s not uncommon for several brothers and sisters to club together to get a gift and dads can be really grateful for the chance to get behind the wheel of an awesome speed machine.

Making Memories

Regardless of whether or not a car adventure day seems like a good idea, one of the most important things is having fun. Whatever Father’s Day Gifts your dad receives try to take photos or get mementos so that he’ll remember what a lovely day he’s had with you.

And, if he does end up speeding around a track at Silverstone, consider filming his circuits and putting them on the internet for friends and relatives to share.

How To Make Your Nails Strong

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Society and Culture · Comment

by Click For
The first sign of a nail infection is the discoloration of your nails. From their pinkish white color, nails usually turn to yellow. And eventually when the infection is already in its advanced stage, nails become brown or black. But probably because of nail polish or simply ignorance, a lot of individuals really do not realize that they have nail problems until such time when the nails chip off and the infection has spread.

How can I prevent nail fungus?

One of the most important steps in preventing nail infections is to keep nails well trimmed, but not over trimming them. Cutting the nail too short can cause small cuts and tears, which could allow fungal organisms to penetrate your nail bed. To prevent toenail fungal infections, keep your feet as dry and clean as possible at all times. Change socks and shoes frequently. If you have athlete’s foot, treat it regularly. Athlete’s foot is a fungus which can spread to your toenails. Do not share nail clippers with anyone else, as it is possible to transmit the fungus.

If you think that your face and neck are the only parts of your body that you need to shield from the sun, you are making a big mistake. Your hands are also prone to developing sunspots, wrinkles, skin discolorations and brown spots due to frequent exposure to the harsh ultraviolet rays from the sun.

What I have to say to you is that you can stop too. Anyone can stop. The problem is, stopping is partially out of your control. It’s such a strongly-rooted habit, that you have to go deeper into your mind to stop it. When I finally stopped biting my fingernails was the day that I finally went deep into my mind to stop. Now I know what you’re thinking…

Nail salons often have their own sets of problems. They may claim to be a discount salon, but the materials are the same as in the high end places, it is only a difference in service and margin, so be sure that they don’t skimp either on adequate materials or in customer service. Those problems might include, in addition to inadequately cleaned instruments, there might be strong chemical smells.

Remove hands from the water and dry with a clean towel. Carefully clip and file the nails and clean gently around the cuticle area. Rinse hands and gently pat dry.

Ideally, if you get your cat while they are still a kitten, make handing the paws part of the petting ritual. Begin to press on the pad to express the claws, just as you would if you were trimming. When kittens are asleep, they usually won’t wake up or object to this. If your cat loses patience and you are not finished, do the rest another time. It is far better not to force it. And always pet your cat and tell them what a good kitty they are afterward, even if they are asleep!

Taking Your Time Choosing Your Wedding Date

April 28, 2009 · Filed Under Society and Culture · Comment

by Pam Kazmierczak
Now that you’re engaged and you have happily let everyone know the news, it is time to set the date. Setting the date to your wedding is a big deal. The day you get married is a day you will remember forever. It will be the day that you celebrate every year. With this in mind, realize you must pick a date you can live with. When choosing your date there are many things to consider. Some of the basics include what part of the year you want to get married in (or celebrate yearly), if there are any conflicts with your date and if you have enough time to prepare your wedding by that date. All dates are not created equal. There are some dates you may choose to avoid. It may seem obvious, but planning a wedding can be stressful or exciting and sometimes we don’t put all of our effort into picking a date which we can plan our wedding by and that we will be forever happy with.

Holidays

Some people want to get married on holidays but most people choose to avoid these dates. If you do not want to share the spotlight you may want to avoid a holiday wedding, especially a major holiday such as Valentine’s Day or Christmas. Your guests may not be happy with you if you plan a holiday wedding and they have to spend their holiday with you instead of participating in their normal holiday customs, whether they are romantic plans for holidays such as Valentine’s Day or Sweetest Day or more family oriented such as during Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Birthdays or Anniversaries

You may want to avoid having your wedding on birthdays or anniversaries of close friends or family members. If you do choose a date which is important to someone else you may want to consider how other people might feel about you getting married on a certain date. If you really want to use a date that is someone’s anniversary or birthday you should clear it with that person first. Explain why you really want to get married on that date and get their blessing first.

Other Days

There are countless days that you may want to avoid, days that are personal to individual families as well as the general public. If your grandparents are deceased you may want to avoid the date of their death or even their birthdays, marrying on one of their birthdays may bring up bad memories or just the feeling of loss - something you do not want on your wedding day. You may want to avoid days like Pearl Harbor day or even the day Kennedy was shot. To be able to avoid painful days for the family you need to know them, listen to what they do or do not want. Days to avoid are really individual to each wedding and family. If you family or his has war veterans you may want to avoid days that are significant to those wars If your mother is an avid Elis fan or your sister had a shrine to Kurt Cobain growing up would probably avoid the dates of their deaths plus any other dates significant to them.

Still not sure?

Pick the wedding date and ask your family what they think. Find out if there are ary problems or concerns from family members. Address what comes up. Now you can decide if you are keeping that date or if you will reconsider.
