The quality of the shower is improved and the pressure of water is increased, on this account.
Besides the fluoride, the water is cleansed of traces of chlorine by the filter that the shower filter systems are equipped with. Various diseases are prevented and water is made suitable for bathing, because of the virtual elimination of chlorine. Many diseases like eye afflictions, rashes of the skin, cancer, among others, may be caused because of chlorine as among the substances that dissolve in water it is often described as being one of the most harmful.
Even when it is not ingested, the chlorine gas that is produced when water in which it is mixed is heated can prove to be dangerous. The skin is affected because of the gas made when a mixture of water and chlorine gas is warmed. The lung tissues can be affected directly when, at the time of taking a shower, the gas is inhaled.
When one takes a shower, the elements that can be a trigger for health problems on account of the chlorine may not be known about at all. Most of the time the effects can be brought down by up to 90% by using a good shower filter. In particular, if one has a sensitive body, the condition can be improved, since protection is provided against chlorine by the shower filter. In these ways, removal of water carrying diseases and contaminants is provided by the shower filters.
Portable and handy are appropriate words for describing the shower filters that are presently available. These can be installed easily and can also be carried easily. Easily connected and installed to the shower, providing clean water instantly. The usage frequency and the quality of water determine the performance of the cartridges used in shower filters, although these can generally be used for nine to twelve months, without any problems.
Shower filters have three stages to remove bacteria and germs. Colorful and attractive shower filters are being produced by many manufacturers specializing in designer products, nowadays. The structure and ambiance of the bathroom is enhanced to a considerable extent, when such shower filters are installed there. The best examples of tapestry art often use traditional materials and weaving techniques. In the medieval era they were made out of wool. This adds length and gives an illusion of added space. If your room is large, try adding a series of smaller tapestries together. This will create the illusion of a smaller area.
Be selective when you choose the rods and hardware for hanging. Some companies will not charge you extra for these items when you purchase your tapestry. There are a large array of rods, finials and tassels to help you finish your piece.
Tapestries usually arrive with a three to four inch pocket sewn on the revere side for hanging. They may be hung with either a metal adjustable rod or custom cut wood with wall brackets. The Power of Antioxidant in Super Fruits
by Karen Jackson
The power of antioxidants are becoming well known. They help the body to fight free radicals, they can slow the aging process, help prevent disease and promote a vibrant and healthy lifestyle.
What are Antioxidants?
Every day the cells in our body are constantly being attacked and damaged by free radicals. Free radicals are a by-product of metabolism and occur naturally in the body. In addition, exposure to pollutants, sun light or other environmental exposures also contribute to cell damage.
What are Free Radicals?
Free radicals are unstable molecules that have lost an oxygen molecule. These unstable molecules steal oxygen molecules from healthy cells in the body. This process is called oxidation. One example of the oxidation affects of free radicals on healthy cells is the browning of a freshly cut apple or potato.
If you have ever cut an apple or a potato and let it set on the kitchen counter for 20 minutes you have witnessed the affects of free radicals on healthy cells. The browning of the exposed fruit is what is called “cellular rust” or oxidation. Damage from free-radicals have been linked to a whole host of disease including Alzheimers, Parkinsons, cardio-vascular disease and more.
Where do we get Antioxidants and How do we Measure them?
Fruits and vegetables are the biggest source of dietary antioxidants. Fruits like blueberries, strawberries, pomegranates, Acai and Goji berries are excellent sources of powerful antioxidants. To get a proper daily serving of antioxidants, it is recommended to get 5 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.
ORAC is the standard measurement of the total antioxidant power of food. ORAC is short for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. Nutritionist recommended we consume approximately 5000 ORAC units per day to offset the damaging effects of free radicals. However with today’s hectic lifestyles and time-crunched schedules getting even one serving a fresh fruit or vegetables into your diet can be a challenge.
A Hassle-Free Way to Get Antioxidants into Your Diet

o Fresh Fruit: Instead of buying a bag of candy the next time you go shopping get a couple of apples or a pound of grapes. Apples and grapes make for quick and healthy snacks. In addition, you can take them with you to work.
o Super Fruit Juice Concentrates: Fruit juice concentrates make an excellent alternative to a can of soda. For example, tart cherry juice concentrate delivers 7000 ORAC units per one ounce. It takes approximately 100 tart cherries to make one ounce of tart cherry juice concentrate. In fact, some companies will even ship this antioxidant-rich juice right to your door. One supplier of tart cherry concentrate with an excellent shipping record and high customer service scores is Traverse Bay Farms.

How School Can Hurt your Kids Without You Knowing It
by Diana Zimmerman
For millions of kids across the country, attending school is a traumatic experience. They are the victims of bullying. Most kids are subjected to occasional teasing, but others are continually berated by their classmates, some are even beaten up. Now, an innovative new solution is helping to change all this.
The Bureau of Justice estimates that one out of every four kids in the United States is bullied. The prevalence of bullying, especially in middle school and junior high, has reached an all-time high. Parents are rightfully concerned, teachers are frustrated, and kids are scared. But there is an answer.
Jeff Smith teaches at Sable Point Elementary in Florida: “Bullying is a serious problem in schools today. It can be extremely traumatic and cause serious consequences, even leading to teen suicide. As a 5th grade teacher, I see kids making the transition from carefree school kids to pre-teens every year. Some of them do it easily, but for others, it’s a real struggle.”
In an attempt to find a more effective way to empower kids against bullying, parents and educators are tossing out the dry, finger-wagging “How to” books. They, like Jeff Smith, are turning to an innovative new solution that is fun for the kids and contains self-empowerment messages they can relate to—fiction.
Books such as “Kandide and the Secrets of the Mists” by Diana S. Zimmerman and the “Shredderman” series by Wendelin Van Draanen open the door to discuss bullying in a way that is grabbing kids’ attention. Shreddarman is about a nerd who triumphs over a bully by using his brains to fight brawn—and wins.
“Kandide” is a fantasy adventure that is set in a world that rings true for almost every tween and teen—one that’s obsessed with beauty and physical perfection, with a healthy dose of intolerance and distaste for those who do not fit this mold. Like the ruthless modern-day hallways of a middle or high school, in Kandide’s land, beauty and arrogance are revered, and anyone who looks or acts “different” is shunned.
Jeff Smith uses this solution to make progress and connect with his students about bullying. “Kids need to experience positive role models to help them learn that they have a lot more in common than not. In my classroom. I use the characters and relevant story themes in Diana Zimmerman’s book, ‘Kandide and the Secret of the Mists,’ to deeply engage my students in this important topic without confrontation or being preachy.”
“The tale of ‘Kandide,’ who overcomes her disfigurement and banishment to be accepted and succeed in life, is the perfect way for my students to learn about differences and how to get along. They are completely engaged and love reading it.”
According to the Indiana Education Policy Center, “Left untreated, the affects of bullying can evolve into depression, physical illness, and even suicide. In the year following a comprehensive school intervention program, researchers recorded a 50% decrease in the numbers of bullying incidents, while also reducing the intensity of these problems.”
Author Diana S. Zimmerman and S.A.V.E. (Students Against Violence Everywhere) are working to expand the use of fiction as a tool to empower kids and help them take a stand against this all to pervasive problem.
Zimmerman has been speaking to school kids all across the country. “We are extremely pleased with the results,” she states. “Jeff Smith’s school is just one example. When kids feel empowered, they are less likely be bullied or standby and let it happen to others. We can do something about it. It’s time to take a stand.”
The National Youth Violence Prevention Center estimates that 5.7 million youths in the United States are involved in bullying either as a bully, as a target of bullying, or both.
Bullying Awareness Week is November 16-22nd, 2008. It’s a terrific opportunity to talk about bullying in your school. Both “Kandide” and “Shreddarman” are ways to engage your kids in this discussion.
Take a stand. Help stamp out bullying in your school.

Rebate Processing - A Look Inside.
by Jess Ray
Recently, a new work from home business, rebate processing, has come about. There are a number of websites and companies offering training to those interested in becoming certified rebate processors. You are paid $15 per transaction and all that is required is that you fill in some simple forms. You can work part time or full time.
Well, I took it upon myself to spend the $39 on rebate-processor.com for the sake of research and this is what I found…
The first step is to create an account with an affiliate service called ClickBank. This is a third party service that primarily manages the affiliate accounts for several thousands of informational products.
Rebate Processor .com provides step by step instructions guiding you through the sign up process with ClickBank. They also guide you through retrieving your “hoplink” or affiliate ID with products of your choice.
Your next step is to begin selecting companies and products that you would like to work with and process rebates for. Ironically, their suggestion is to select other work from home opportunities and home based business informational products, such as Ebooks and online courses.
The third step provides the following list of options: - create a blog, - place ads on free classified, - send opt in emails - place ads on pay per click - article marketing
A blog is defined as: a contraction of the term “Web log” is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject while others function as more personal online diaries
The primary direction provided by rebate processor .com is to use Blogger.com, which in my opinion is bad advice. You see, Blogger.com is owned by Google therefor you do not own your domain name or blog, Google does.
Google is very stringent in enforcing its policies on Blogger and are known to shut down blogs for days at a time while they research its legitimacy, I have experienced this myself. So, I would suggest that you avoid using Blogger.com for anything more than blogging for fun.
Placing ads on free classified sites is very time consuming and yields very poor results, again, I know this because I have tested it. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Internet Explorer do not display these ads. Someone must purposely seek out a free classified ad website and do a search on your product of choice in order to find your ad.
When a person seeks out a free classified website, they are doing so to find a used car, a antique winchester rifle or a puppy, not a work from home digital informational product.
To purchase a decent mailing with qualified prospects that are seeking the information that you are promoting will cost you about a dollar to two dollars per email. The average number of people on the list vs the average number of emails that are opened is about 100 to 1.
If you are making $15 off of that one sale, that means you are spending at least $100 to make $15. That is not a wise business decision.
Many internet marketing gurus have written Ebooks on the science that is Pay Per Click advertising. For those of you who are new to the internet, search engines like Yahoo, Google and MSN have a form of paid advertising. This advertising is similar to ads on TV and in magazines and newspapers. This is called Pay Per Click and it is just like it sounds. When a person clicks on your ad, you pay a fee.
Some ads are as little as $.05 a click but many ads are well over $5.00 and up. Not only is there the cost of pay per click but there is learning how to properly set up an effective ad campaign. Google is the main player in the game of pay per click, and if you don’t take the time to set up your ads per their rules your prices with skyrocket or they will shut you down completely. Enough said.
Finally is article marketing. At this very moment, you are witnessing an example of article marketing. This is one of the better pieces of advice that rebate processor .com provides its customers. But, again, this is skill that takes some time to learn and perform effectively.
Many article directory websites have policies that do not allow you to use affiliate links in your articles and the content of your article needs to be of a certain level in order to be published.
But you don’t have to take my word for it. I have created a screen capture video of the inside of rebate-processor.com so you can see for yourself what I found. Head over to http://rebateprocessingisascam.com to get an exclusive look inside. And as an added bonus, I created an Online Business E-Course that provides step by step instruction for free.
