Christmas is fast approaching. Christmas lights and decorations are all over and this signals the start of the holiday season. Every year we attend countless Christmas parties everywhere. Be it in the office or at home we never fail to celebrate this wonderful time of the year. However, you will never know when you will be asked to host this event. This is why you need to have a few helpful tips on how to host that perfect Christmas party.

Being a host is a tough job especially if you are going to handle a large group. So consider involving some of your guests or family members in the planning stage. Get some volunteers and set up a brainstorming session with them.

First to set is the date. You only have a few weekends in December and the holidays are such a busy time for everyone. Thus, you need to decide on the date so you can send out your invitations in advance. Do this ahead of time, around late November is good. This will allow your guests to plan ahead.

Decide on your budget and the number of guests you are going to invite. Keep in mind that a small budget is not a problem. What is important is for you to make sure your guests are having so much fun. Consider the place you’re going to have the party, too. You may want to do it at your place or decide to have it somewhere else like in a restaurant or your friend’s home. Just make sure you have plenty of room for your guests.

Now as for the invitations, you may want to buy online or at the store. However, if you find them too expensive and want to keep your budget to a minimum then you can print your own invitations and add a few personal touch to it. You can use a Christmas stationery and an envelope to match it. Don’t forget the basics like “Who”(is going to throw the party), “What”(kind of party it’s going to be) Indicate if there’s going to be cocktail or dinner, “When”(date and time it starts), and “Where”(address and directions as well). Indicate in your invitation if children are invited and place an RSVP with date. Send them out at least three weeks before the party.

Choose the food you’re going to serve. Keep your menu as simple as can be so you don’t get stucked in the kitchen. Choose foods that are easy to serve and handle. Provide desserts, appetizers and dips that everyone will love. Moreover, don’t forget to include fries, pizza bites and chicken tenders for the kids to indulge. As with regards to drinks, you may opt to serve a couple of beverages that your guests will enjoy instead of offering an open bar. It is also a good idea to have some milk or juice if children are attending.

Decorate your place for the event. Use inexpensive holiday decors and lights. Have the place already decorated for the holiday season by having your Christmas tree decorated and stockings hung. Decorate your table as well with festive tablecloths and accent it with holiday printed napkins and a red centerpiece. Make sure that the outside lights and those of the Christmas tree are turned on when your guests arrive.

You may use disposable cups, plates, spoons and forks during the party. If you do, then you can enjoy your party without worrying so much on doing the dishes afterwards. Just make sure the disposables are durable and sturdy.

Add some music to your party. Bring out your boom box and play some Christmas songs on the background. You can play some party music later when your guests take part in some party games and exchanging of gifts to liven up the atmosphere.

Take lots of pictures and have your photo taken with every guests. This will serve as a great memory of the party which can be sent later to each of your guests with a “thank you” note.

To host a party is such a daunting task. It can really be overwhelming and sometimes impossible with a tight budget. However, with these ideas in mind you can surely come up with a perfect Christmas party and be a great host after all.

K1 Fiance Visa Overview

Vacation and villa rentals are generally appealing for many reasons, some of the foremost being cost savings, more space, and no tips, taxes or service charges that are associated with hotel rooms. Villa and vacation rentals have kitchens for cooking, living rooms for gathering together and offer the appeal of living in a real neighborhood and soaking up the rhythm of the locals. In the United States, hotels often enjoy the advantages of brand recognition, familiar reservation processes, and on-site staff for problem resolution.

For a guest, booking a vacation rental may mean stepping out of that comfort zone in order to garner some of the advantages they offer. Perceived cons of vacation rentals can include having to communicate directly with the property owner, being unfamiliar with the property, lack of on-site staff, and concerns about quality or cleanliness however, these are most often mitigated by dealing with villa or vacation rental agencies that manage vacation properties for owners and they offer many of the same services hotels offer to their guests, e.g., front desk check-in, 24-hour maintenance, in-house housekeeping, concierge service.

The benefits generally outweigh the potential negatives, with many vacation rentals offering more space (multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, separate living areas), more amenities fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, private hot tubs, convenient locations (on the beach, ski-in/ski-out, city centers in real neighborhoods) and greater privacy than a hotel, including the fact that many villa/vacation rentals give travelers the option of inhabiting real neighborhoods in their destination and living like the locals. As of 2006, vacation rental management has become a dollar 10 billion industry and continues to become more popular.

Vacation rentals can range from budget studio apartments to lavish, expensive private villas in the world’s most desirable locations, some with pricetags of many thousands per night and all the amenities you would find in any luxury accommodation (fully staffed, private beaches, boats, chefs, cooking lessons, etc) to cater to the guests. Vacation rentals are available in most states of the US and very prevalent in major tourist areas such as Hawaii, California, and Florida. The vacation rental market is much larger in Europe than it is in the United States as it has long been a common travel option for European travellers.

A K-1 visa is a United States non-immigrant visa benefiting fiances and fiancees of US citizen petitioners. The Application is made by the petitioner in the US on a USCIS form I-129F filed by mail at a USCIS Service Center. The petitioner must provide detailed information and supporting documentation to prove that both parties are legally free to marry, have met each other within the last two years, intend to marry, do not have disqualifying criminal histories so-called crimes of moral turpitude), and proof of identity and citizenship. Recent changes to the Law also limit the number of petitions a Petitioner can make, and the Petitioner must not have a criminal history of sexual or partner abuse.Other recent changes in the Law also severely limit the role of “marriage agencies in the introductions, and any involvement of such agencies must be disclosed.

An engagement is a promise to marry, and also refers to the time between proposal and marriage. During this period, a couple is said to be affianced, engaged to be married, or simply engaged. The concept of an engagement period may have begun in 1215 at the Fourth Lateran Council, headed by Pope Innocent III, which decreed that marriages are to be announced publicly in the churches by the priests during a suitable and fixed time, so that if legitimate impediments exist, they may be made known. Such a formal church announcement of the intent to marry is known as banns. In some jurisdictions, reading the banns may be part of one type of legal marriage.

The modern Western form of the practice of giving or exchanging engagement rings is traditionally thought to have begun in 1477 when Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor, gave Mary of Burgundy a diamond ring as an engagement present. However, engagement rituals vary widely by culture. Advocates of same-sex rights criticize the exclusion of homosexual relationships from legal and social recognition and the rights and obligations it provides. Florida has many large and small private institutions. The Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida, serves the interests of the private universities in Florida. This Association reported that their member institutions served over 121,000 students in the fall of 2006

In most societies, the death of one of the partners terminates the marriage, and in monogamous societies this allows the other partner to remarry, though sometimes after a waiting or mourning period. Many societies also provide for the termination of marriage through divorce. Marriages can also be annulled in some societies, where an authority declares that a marriage never happened. In either event the people concerned are free to remarry (or marry). After divorce, one spouse may have to pay alimony. Some views about marriage are controversial.

At the same time advocates of the traditional marriage movement oppose any attempt to define marriage to include anything other than the union of one man and one woman, claiming that to do so would deprive the term of its fundamental and defining meaning. Visas fall roughly into two classifications, non-immigrant (for visitors, employees, and missionaries, for example), and immigrant (permanent visas for things like the visa lottery, families intending to move permanently to the USA, business investment, and new marriage partners). The K-1 visa is in a bit of a gray area: although it is officially called a non-immigrant visa, applicants intend to apply for immigrant status after arriving in the USA.

A US citizen may marry any foreigner under the law of their desire, with the fewest exceptions necessary. Human rights laws, international law, and US constitutional law together create the right of a US citizen to marry a fiance(e) of their (mutual) choosing, no matter what the citizenship (national origin, race) of the fiance(e). The legal philosophy behind the bureaucracy (forms, interviews, and proofs) of K-1 visas (along with visas for spouses and their family members) is that the government can limit human and constitutional rights only if there is a compelling state interest, or, in other words, an overriding concern that affects the rights of other citizens.

Much of the land mass of the state is a large peninsula with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Most of Florida has a humid subtropical climate; southern Florida has a tropical climate.Florida was named by Juan Ponce de, who landed on the peninsula on April 2, 1513, during Pascua Florida Spanish for Flowery Easter, referring to the Easter season.Florida is the fourth most populous state in the U.S. The Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida is an association of 28 private, educational institutions in the state of Florida.

by Kristi Ambrose
Of course if your wanting a nice vacation you could just go to travelocity or to expedia but what if you want a really superb vacationing experience? What if you want the best of the best and you won’t take no for an answer? Well lucky for you there are websites online that offer premium memberships to some of the top 4 and 5 star resorts on the planet. It’s true!

These are NOT budget accommodations they are prime time, premium choice, grade A quality, and what’s better is some of them even offer wholesale prices, which means you the buyer doesn’t have to pay a huge chunk of change for a property. Listed below you will find three of the best memberships out there. These are in ranking order so number one is the ultimate number two is second ultimate and so on and so forth!

Network Resorts -
Access to more than 5,000 choice resorts worldwide, it also offers admittance to luxury resorts that usually require a timeshare purchase. These are not budget accommodations! Members enjoy access to some of the most highly sought after destinations in the world, starting at just $298 for an entire 8 days and 7 nights. Now remember these are quality high class 4 and 5 star properties, so just by looking at the starting prices, I’m sure you can already guess that even the highest ranking property is still going to be dirt cheap.

I’m sure your wondering how this company in particular defines luxury so here are a few small examples; High-end resorts with gorgeous bedrooms, big living rooms, full kitchens, and spacious balconies overlooking the ocean. Resorts that face world class golf courses, or breathtaking views of the mountains, many of which are only available otherwise through a timeshare purchase are available through this membership!!!

Smart Share Vacations -
All privately owned properties, luxury Resorts are not open to the general public. Normally, they can only be utilized by their owners. These fabulous resorts are located in the world’s most desired vacation destinations and owned by people that can afford a 2nd home. SmartShare’s luxury resort accommodations include spacious areas designed for an extended stay, more room than a hotel room, sized for a family with multi-bedrooms, cost for a week is less than what you would pay for a hotel.

Luxury resorts are fully equipped condos with options such as 1-3 bedrooms, 1-3 bathrooms, family rooms, kitchens, hot tubs, laundry facilities, swimming pools and much more. Fun and relaxation can be accompanied with on-site or nearby amenities

Exclusive Resorts -
This is a membership for people who love to travel! Like with a country club, members pay a one time membership fee and in exchange receive access to a stunning amount of private residences, five star services and amenities. You will not only have a lot of fun with this membership but you will also save yourself some major time.

The website is very user-friendly, in that you can see all the properties available right then and there, full color photos, with all the trimmings Destinations are from A-Z; they do offer less properties than the Network Resorts option but still beautiful properties nonetheless! The one major con with this site is that the fee is.. very large. I have mixed feelings about this one.

Awesome properties, but not really efficient money wise, for middle class people. In fact, the membership alone could possibly buy you a car in the Ferrari range. Great membership options, terrific sales page, very straightforward and to the point. But again, not inexpensive at all!

Diet Tips and Myths

October 28, 2008 · Filed Under Health and Fitness · Comment

by Gen Wright
The first diet myth is that you do not have to eat too much at night because you will gain more weight. People believe that because you do not do much at night, you do not burn much of what you eat during that time. An experiment done by Dunn Nutrition Center showed that it does not matter how much you eat at night. What matters is how much food you eat in the whole day that will determine if you will really gain weight.

The second diet myth is that cholesterol is bad for you. The truth is there are good cholesterols and there are bad cholesterols. Cholesterols, just like any other fat, do not dissolve in our blood. That can be dangerous because they can clog the arteries or the passages in our hearts. The good cholesterols drive away bad cholesterols from the arteries. Instead, they displace the bad cholesterols back to the liver.

Protein is essential to build muscles in the body. Because vegetarians do not eat meat, the third diet myth states that people who are more into vegetables cannot have muscles. This is untrue because they can also get their protein fix from non-meat products such as cheese, grains and nuts.

Some smokers reason out that they do not want to gain weight that is why they do not go cold turkey. This is another diet myth. There are people who have gone cold turkey and they even lost weight. It is a well-known fact that nicotine, which is found in cigarettes, boosts a person’s metabolic capability. But it is also a well-known fact that smoking is very dangerous to our health.

Another diet myth tells that people should suppress themselves to lose weight. It is true that there are people who think that dieting is a form of punishment. This, however, is not always the case. Most diet programs tell dieters to avoid certain kinds of food, but not to stop eating altogether. There are even diet programs which boats of food that are extremely delicious you will not even think you are going on a diet.

If busting those myths are still not enough for you to not fear or question going on a diet, then here are some diet tips for you:

First tip is for you to determine what your motivation is for going on a diet. Do you just want to look stunning in a swimsuit? Do you have an ideal weight? Do you want to join a contest? Are you tired of not minding what you eat, and in turn, also your body? Your motivation shall keep you going with the diet during times when you feel like you can no longer continue the program. Another tip is for you to talk to people who are also on a diet. Share stories, tips, and recipes with each other. You can even have a friendly contest on who loses more weight after a certain period of time. Another diet tip is for you to drink plenty of water. Drinking water is very important when you are in a diet because it gives you the feeling that you are already full, and you will eat less afterwards. Drinking water also drives away the toxins from the body.

What You Need to Maintain Your Bone Density in Order to Fight Osteoporosis

October 28, 2008 · Filed Under Disease and Illness · Comment

by KnowYourInnerSelf
The bones are mainly composed of collagen and calcium phosphate. Collagen, the connective tissue hardened part of the bone is that the calcium phosphate, and bone health, his life has been significantly reduced due to bone fractures. That is why it is essential to complement this framework with vitamins and minerals needed to maintain good bone density at the time of his life, when bone density is likely to deteriorate.

It starts to happen, aged 30 to 35 and women at menopause accelerates when their ovaries stop producing the hormone estrogen, which is needed to maintain bone health. At the time of their bone mass drops former involves the creation of a condition known as the osteopenia, or reduced bone mass, osteoporosis and then, when bones are fragile, porous and very sensitive fractures.

Before looking at what we can do to improve your chances of developing osteoporosis, is close to how to develop the bone, making it easier to understand the corrective measures that can be taken.

Calcium is the most common mineral in the body, and the vast majority is in bones and teeth. Phosphorus is also important for bone health because, as already mentioned, which is composed of collagen in the bones, which hardened by calcium phosphate. The two main uses of phosphorus in bone structure of animals and metabolism, as phosphates are also essential for the vast majority of the production of energy from chemical reactions in your body.

Calcium has other functions within the organization with the exception of bones, but included the exchange of fluids within and between cells, maintaining your heart and blood clotting. Vitamin D is necessary for the absorption of calcium from their diet, through the membrane of the duodenum. More calcium is absorbed in the small intestine, and calcium is also the majority of jobs when it is a form soluble in water.

In fact, the reason that in his kidney stones, for example, is that calcium is insoluble by the formation of calcium oxalate oxalic acid in foods such as soya beans and rhubarb. Fat regimes May also slow the absorption of calcium.

The estrogen plays an important role in bone physiology, and is an important factor in maintaining bone density in women. Bone is living tissue and is constantly absorbed and transformed life. The role of estrogen is a good balance between osteoclasts, cells that absorb bone, and osteoblasts, cells that the new bone tissue.

When estrogen is bad, this balance is lost, and instead of bone formation and resorption, constantly, to take place in surges, an initial area of new bone is formed, and then produce the absorption of some weeks later, resulting in a structure where there is a gap between the areas of bone. Over time, these increases in the gaps and weaken the integrity of bone structure.

This is not all. The effect of estrogen is to limit the period of active osteoclasts, so that areas of the bone is absorbed by the body are relatively low, so that the bone cavity can be removed easily fill with new bone by osteoblasts, which are driven by estrogen. When estrogen is imperfect, is not only the activity of bone, osteoblasts reduced, but the bone absorption of osteoclast activity is not regulated, and the deepest holes in the bone structure of osteoblasts able to fill.

The result is the loss of bone, more bone is reabsorbed formed. The end result of all that is the spongy bone tissue with many tiny holes and also with larger areas of bone missing. Finally, given a critical point and fractures in normal use. A simple transfer from one stage to another of breaking a bone in his weakest point, as the hip, where the collar bone thinning.

Not everyone is in the same risk, and there are certain risk factors, you should be aware of each of which could increase the potential for the development of weak bones. The condition affects mainly white or Asian women, and those with a small frame. If you smoke and drink too much alcohol, are also more prone to osteoporosis, even if exercise can help prevent. An inadequate intake of calcium and vitamin D also helps, and magnesium is an essential element of the development of strong bones.

The U. S. Department of Agriculture has conducted surveys that show American women only 50% of calcium recommended for good bone density. It is not only on foods that calcium is necessary for bone formation, but also magnesium and boron, and vitamin D helps calcium absorption in the intestine.

If you’re on steroids, can make you prone to the disease of fragile bones. Unfortunately, the symptoms of osteoporosis is not clear until it has been a significant amount of bone loss, which explains why women after menopause, and more than 65 years, there should be a Exploration of bone density (DXA test). It is important to understand that osteoporosis is a disease that is not considered as such: you can not “capture”, but was prepared following a gradual reduction in bone mineral density of your structure.

Their diet is important for you to prevent bone loss and osteoporosis later in life, and your lifestyle is also important. To reduce their daily consumption of alcohol will certainly help, and cigarette smoking has further delayed the activity of bone cells to create. Calcium and vitamin D help, but not limited to them.

If you want to maintain the smooth functioning of the bone and beyond menopause through the stage of life, you should take a supplement containing a balanced combination of vitamins and minerals to maintain a healthy balance between the loss natural and bone regeneration. There is more to ensure that only calcium and vitamin D supplement to a balanced and takes them out of hand. You can watch the knowledge that you do what is good for your body and bone density.

Osteoporosis Treatment is what you need to overcome this Osteoporosis. Find out more how to battle this disease.
